Workshop

Storytelling Workshop (Fremantle)

Fremantle

BRING YOUR UNFORGETTABLE YARN TO LIFE.

Stories matter. Discover space to tell yours with master storyteller/sage, Andrea Gibbs of Barefaced Stories. Over two sessions Andrea will work with participants to unlock, craft and refine a tale.

After all, “learning to tell a story well is as important as the story itself.”

Create your story and share it with the world.

Bookings include a seat at the Potluck Banquet: A Feast of Gentle Bravery, where Workshop participants may be invited to share their work on stage.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Session One: Finding Your Story

Thursday 1st August, 18:30 – 21:30

It’s all about digging up that gem of a story you’ve got hidden away. Andrea’s got heaps of exercises that’ll help you find it, and trust us, you’re sitting on a goldmine.

Session Two: Crafting Your Story

Thursday 8th August, 18:30 – 21:30

Armed with your raw, authentic tale, Andrea will show you how to chisel away the superfluous, polish the rough edges, to present a masterpiece. She’ll offer one-on-one feedback to keep your audience hooked from start to finish.

NOTE: The workshop takes place over two sessions. There is a week break between sessions to allow students time to develop/refine their stories.
